Alignment Services:

  • Two-Wheel Alignment – Also known as a front-end alignment, two-wheel alignment is generally performed on vehicles with a solid rear axle; it involves inspecting and adjusting the camber, toe, and caster angles on the front wheels.
  • Four-Wheel Alignment – Vehicles with independent or semi-independent rear suspensions will need to have the camber, toe, and caster angles inspected and adjusted on all four wheels; this is also called an all-wheel alignment.

What Is Wheel Alignment Service?

When you bring your Honda to Stephen Wade Honda for this service, our technicians will first inspect your wheels’ camber, toe, and caster angles. The camber angle refers to how much the wheels are tilted when viewed from the front or rear, while the toe refers to the tilt of the wheels when viewed from above or below. Caster angle is a way to measure how much the steering axis deviates from vertical.

If all these angles are correct, you can go on your way! But if not, our technicians will use precision tools to realign the wheels to the proper angles as set by the factory.

What Kind of Wheel Alignment Service Does My Honda Need?

If you drive a Honda with two-wheel drive, it will generally require only two-wheel alignment. Similarly, vehicles with all-wheel drive generally require four-wheel alignment. The biggest exception is all-wheel drive vehicles with a solid rear axle, which usually only need two-wheel alignment.

How Do I Know if My Wheels Are Misaligned?

Wheels that are improperly aligned can cause a number of symptoms. If your vehicle pulls to one side while you’re driving, the steering wheel is crooked, the tires squeal excessively, or your tires have uneven wear, it’s likely a sign of wheel misalignment. However, the symptoms of misaligned wheels can also be minor and hard to see, which is why regular alignment inspections are helpful.
