Stephen Wade is a first-generation dealer who got his start in the car business while working with a Sigma Chi fraternity brother (Robert Garff) selling cars. In 1973, Stephen became one of the youngest Mazda dealers in the country with a dealership located at 8th South and Main Street in Salt Lake City. Stephen moved to St. George in 1993 and opened Stephen Wade Honda/Mazda. Three years later in 1996 he opened an automotive Collision Center. He began growing Stephen Wade Auto Center in 2006 by opening Stephen Wade Nissan, in 2007 he added Chevrolet/Cadillac, in 2008 he purchased the Toyota franchise and in 2009 acquired Chrysler, JEEP, Dodge, RAM. In the spring of 2016 he opened the first luxury brand known as Mercedes-Benz of St. George. The newest addition in 2018 is the purchase of Brent Brown Toyota in Orem, UT. Today Stephen Wade Auto Center has over 700 employees with plans to expand and grow the company. Stephen Wade Auto Center is located off I-15 at exit 6 in St. George City and has a great selection of New and Used Vehicles.

It’s the people in southern Utah that make our area so great, which is why we invest in our community. We sponsor various programs that include: recreation youth sports, art programs, science programs, school athletic teams, local school clubs, and organizations through our Kick4Cash and Shoot4Cash programs. We provide assistance to the Washington County School District Foundation to provide funding for grants that are awarded to teachers to purchase needed equipment for their classrooms. In 2019 we donated more than 60 pumper cars to the school district to use in Elementary schools for children with special needs. We participate and sponsor local sporting events, concerts, festivals, local medical programs, and non-profit organizations. You can count on us to give back to the community that has allowed us to serve them for over 25 years.
